Arcs[]
The naming of the story arcs is done on the basis of which girl Haruka pursues romantically:
- The Kazuha arc is about Haruka's relationship with Kazuha. It includes:
- The Akira arc is about Haruka's relationship with Akira. It includes:
- The Nao arc is about Haruka's relationship with Nao. It includes:
- The Sora arc is about Haruka's relationship with Sora. It includes:
The first episode is shared across all arcs. The second episode is shared by Akira and Kazuha. The seventh episode is shared by Sora and Nao. Episodes 3-4, 5-6, 8-9, and 10-12 are episodes unique to a specific arc (Kazuha, Akira, Nao, and Sora respectively). The first three arcs span four episodes each, while Sora's spans five.
Additionally, a Motoka Nogisaka arc about Haruka's relationship with Motoka is present in the form of omake sections at the end of each episode.
Changes[]
The anime featured a greatly redacted story over the visual novel. The total runtime of the anime stands at 5 hours and 10 minutes, during which they had to squeeze in an adaption of all five visual novel routes, compared to the average length of a single visual novel route of 8 hours. Due to this, there are many changes to the anime. Additionally, many additions were made to add to the drama, namely Sora's more intense hatred of Nao, that was less present in the visual novel.
- Motoka's route is reduced to very brief omakes that are a small fraction of her visual novel route.[16]
- Sora's and Nao's routes are deeply intertwined, with Sora's route in particular featuring Nao as Haruka's (temporary) girlfriend; whereas in the visual novel, the two routes are completely separated.
- Sora is far less tolerant of Nao in this version.
- The scene of Haruka and Sora arguing, and Haruka slapping Sora,[17] is a unique scene absent on the visual novel.
- The fact that Sora saved Haruka from drowning during the suicide attempt scene is omitted. How the twins survived is not mentioned, making the ending more ambiguous for viewers.
- During the ending, the bunny appears both on the train[18] and ripped up in the abandoned house, which appears to be an oversight.
- Kazuha and Akira are actually related in this version, whereas in the original visual novel, their suspected shared blood is debunked.
- Kozue is portrayed as far less tolerant and more judgmental in this version; whereas in the visual novel, she is accepting of the twin's relationship, and remains friendly with them.
- Nao running into Haruka and Sora early on during the Common route is not shown in the anime.
- Sora and Haruka's relationship being revealed is more dramatic in the anime. In the visual novel, Sora covers her nudity with a white sheet and confronts Kozue and Nao at the door, telling them to leave. In the anime, Sora and Haruka are caught in the middle of intercourse by Kozue and Nao.
- The buttons on the Kasugano uniforms are sewn by Nao in the visual novel, regardless of the route.
- The soundtrack features both new arrangements of the visual novel's soundtrack and new compositions.

Japanese[]
King Records distributed the series both on DVD and Blu-ray formats. The first volume (KIXA 75[32]) was released on December 22, 2010, the second volume (KIXA 76[32]) was released on January 26, 2011, the third volume (KIXA 77[32]) was released on February 23, 2010, and the final volume (KIXA 78[32]) was released on March 26, 2011. The Blu-ray edition of this final volume was limited in quantities and came with a box set (KIXA-90078[32]) to enclose all volumes as well as a stuffed toy strap of Sora.[33] The box set houses two smaller boxes, that each fit two arcs and an accompanying booklet, as well as an exclusive artbook. Each arc features a CD: the first arc comes with the game's rearranged soundtrack, the second arc comes with a drama CD, the third arc comes with another drama CD, and the fourth arc features the anime's soundtrack.
The series was reissued as a limited edition Blu-ray box set (KIXA-90677~80)[34] on September 21, 2016.[35] The first four discs are the anime on Blu-ray, the fifth and sixth discs are respectively the anime's soundtrack and the game's rearranged soundtrack on CD, and the seventh disc is an exclusive audio drama on CD. All seven discs are stored in a single digipak.[36] The box set comes with a booklet as well as a photobook of a Sora cosplayer walking around real-life locations that inspired the series.
Outside of Japan, the series was released in North America, Germany, and Taiwan.

The English-language release was published by AnimeWorks on DVD (AWDVD-1506) on May 26, 2015 and on Blu-ray (AWBD-1702) on February 21, 2017. It is only subtitled. German[]
The German-language release was published by AniMoon Publishing on Blu-ray and DVD on October 28, 2016.[37] It is both dubbed and subtitled. Much like the Japanese Blu-ray releases, episodes are distributed in four volumes that each focus on an arc. Each volume was both released as a standard edition and a limited mediabook edition, which contained an exclusive booklet and a lenticular card. The mediabook edition of the first volume comes with a box set to enclose all volumes as well as a stuffed toy of Sora's rabbit plush[38].
